This sound bar doesn't sound like a sound bar; it sounds like a full, rich dual speaker/subwoofer system. It was the final touch for our home entertainment, which consists of a Panasonic Blu-ray DVD/Internet player and an LG 47" led tv. The contrast between the stand-alone tv speakers and the tv with this Toshiba sound bar is incredible. We are very pleased with our purchase.

I am unable to give a review of the products performance! Here's why. Page 28 of the owners manual states (in small print) when using a coaxial connection, if the signal input is DTS or Dolby Digital, this unit will not make sound. My Cable HD box is a Dolby Digital. After contacting the manufacturer and the Cable company, I found there is not a way to turn off the Dolby signal. I am a fan of Toshiba products, unfortunately not at this time.Update, Folks I am an idiot. I was about to ship this item back and thought does the cable box have analog outputs? It does, which negates my Dolby situation. The unit performs well, is a bit boomy, but placement variation could fix that. The remote is a bit cheap. Hope this helps some people.

The joy of never having to use subtitles again or rewinding the dvr to hear something you've missed. Perfect balance between voices and background sounds/music. Having flat screen tvs for a few years makes you forget what tv sound should really be like. Plan to order a second one for the tv in the sun room. Well worth the $130.
