Original Review:This soundbar sounds terrific...when it works. It tends to "go to sleep," a power-saving feature I suppose, at periodic intervals. It lasts for about 10 minutes of Bluetooth streaming, and about 40 minutes of DVD/BD playback. It's just unacceptable. I've e-mailed them three times about this issues, with no response. Horrible customer service in my opinion. I've owned JBL speakers in the past and have been quiet satisfied. But this particular offering is simply inexcusable quality/behavior from them. Two stars.-------------Update (2/23/13)We finally got a replacement, and this new one works perfectly. We've been streaming Bluetooth audio for several hours this week, testing it thoroughly before updating this review. So, either I had a pig in a poke, or they have updated something since the first batch of these went out. Still, even thought they eventually got around to helping me, I remain slightly peeved about their unresponsive customer service. I'm updating my star rating to four stars...five for the soundbar minus one star for getting the runaround and having to incessantly pester them for a replacement.

Before I bought mine, I read all of the reviews and I was a bit hesitant to buy it, but I decided to give it a try. I have had it in place for a couple of months and I am glad that I bought it. Let me set the record straight on a couple of items. If you are expecting this to replace a 7.1 system with front, back and middle speakers, you are going to be really disappointed. If your are expecting this speaker bar to replace the thundering bass of 1000 watt sub with a 15 inch woofer, again, you are going to be disappointed. On the other hand, if you are not satisfied with the sound that your TV is putting out and you don't want to install speakers in your ceiling, this sound bar does an excellent job. The sound is greatly improved and the installation is pretty easy.Pros: Sound is much clearer and fuller than TV speaker sound. It is able to recognize sound input and auto turn-on/off and it can be trained to recognize the volume up/down and mute buttons on your existing remote. In other words, no need to use another remote to operate it. It can be paired with most tablets or phones and the presence of a blue tooth sender also triggers the sound bar to turn on.Cons: If your bluetooth device is in range when the TV is turned on, sometimes the soundbar decides to ignore the TV input and will go into bluetooth mode, instead.Clarification: I have seen reviews that indicate that the soundbar turns off after 10 minutes, even if it is in use. I have never had that happen. I have used the analog input, the optical input and the bluetooth and have never had it turn off after 10 minutes until I have turned off the sending device (and it was supposed to turn off). Not sure what the difference is, but it works correctly for me.Bottom line: If you want much better sound than your TV can produce and you do not want to add satellite speakers or use an external AV amplifier, then buy this.

Very nice unexpected sound comes out of the SB200, when it's on and you turn that volume up, you wonder that something as small as this can take out all that lovely bass sound, the one reason i gave it 4 stars is that sometimes you feel the sound cutting when you are streaming a movie sound thru bluetooth. i am still trying to figure out what the problem is but doesn't seem to reach anywhere.
