I've had a 5.1 system with speakers and all but didn't want the hassle of speakers all over the house. This was a great compromise, it reproduce sound faithfully, rock solid and shiny black lacquer plastic. I hooked this up to a Sony receiver (you need an amp)and whoila. Great sound bar, can definitely produce the highs missing from TV speaker. Its definitely worth the money, I bough it with the free Acoustech subwoofer giveaway but that subwoofer is so big I am not sure where I can hide it. I gave it a 4 star because unless a product blows me away it doesn't get a 5.

1) This is a great sound Bar. It sounds fantastic on low or high volume.2a) It is sometimes hard to find the right amount a bass. This sub can make my house rattle. Not a bad thing but tedious getting up all the time to adjust.2b) You should have a receiver that has a sub out to sound the best.3) This product does not come with any wires.4) Sound bar with stand attached is 7" tall.5) Buy some premium speaker connectors.6) It would get a 5 star if it was easier to set up. I have a lot of devices and was very time consuming.All said and done I love this G42 and Acoustech Pl-200.

Easy to set up - looks great but more importantly, sounds great. The base unit leaves something to be desired - while the setup is easy, the actual "tuning" of the device is not so straightforward. Overall, great value for the money.
