This was the cheapest sound bar I could find, and I think it is basically a good value. The sound is adequate for television, movies, etc. Not quite up to the $200 sound bars, but perfectly adequate for most programing. More importantly, it comes with a nice remote that additionally allows Bluetooth enabled TV's to be controlled as wellIf you look at FAQ's and questions about this model around the internet, you will find one question that dominates "what connections does the rear have?"Sharp doesn't tell you; not on it's own site; not on the descriptions on Amazon. Clearly they are covering up something. Right?! :-)Well, that something is that there is only one diminutive input for a 3.5 mm stereo jack (no optical, no RCA, no etc., no 2nd channel, no no no, nada nothing else). Fine. I ordered a splitter cable to combine the outputs of my Roku and cable box (hoping they both have diodes in the electronics) and that solves the problem.The front of the bar is very nice looking ... nothing fancy, just black piano finish plastic and exposed speaker cones. The truth is, once I've had it for a day or two, it probably will be no different than if I had spent twice as much.Addendum: I've added another star, because I think Sharp's soundbar performance is very good, and suitable for a typical living room. I was initially annoyed at the dearth of information on the hookups ... the product itself performs well.

Once I figured out how to set it up it met all my expectations. The instructions that came with it were minimal. This soundbar has a great sound and is complementary to our existing surround sound. Looks nice in front of our flat screen tv.
